| Hi ladies,
thank you for being so patient with me! It's been over a month since my last entry. I apologize. If I had to say why I never updated, I wouldn't even be able to give you a good reason! Yes, I've been busy, but not *that* busy. Also I apologize for not commenting on your blogs very much recently. I try to read them but don't always have the time to comment. Anyway, let me see what I can tell you about what's going on.
First of all, I'm doing great! School is going okay. I just hate (or dislike...) one of my classes. History, or rather Western Civilization. The professor is very boring in my opinion and the way he teaches is boring too. We talk about stuff that I don't find interesting. He talks about church and the bible a lot. And who knows me a little, knows that that is just not my cup of tea. I was really looking forward to History Class but not like this. It's just no fun. My other classes are great. I'm taking Public Speaking and I've had to give two speeches so far. The first one was an introduction of a classmate. I did my speech on Ray (my new gay boy!). We were supposed to find out about their lives so far and what they want to do in the future and then come up with a good idea for a speech. My speech was for the opening of Ray's first restaurant. His major is Hospitality Management and he wants to open a restaurant eventually. It was really cool! And I got an A on it. I did the second speech yesterday and it was easy. It was about a turning point in our life. I did it on my au pair year, and more specifically on the family in Chicago. I think it went well! My Communications classes are fun too. The professor is great (I have the same one for both classes) and we do fun and interesting stuff. Our first project was to come up with an idea for a new magazine. We had about four weeks to do it, I did it the night before it was due. I know. I'm bad. I can't help it though. Our next project is a PowerPoint presentation on a musician. I'm doing it on (surprise!) Robbie Williams! It'll be cool.
Mmkay, enough with the school talk. I've been going out a lot and enjoying it! I've met some guys online but nothing worth mentioning. I'm just enjoying myself now and it's really fun! I'm just having a good time. I'm not going to go into detail on here, if you have questions, let me know! And maybe I'll tell you!
I have to get going, grocery shopping and stuff. Enjoy your day, ladies. It's a beautiful one here!

Welcome to Fug Thursday, where we show you the fashion nos, to keep you in the fashion know. Brought to us by beautiful and talented Kami.
I got this gem from the front and behind. There is just so much wrong with this, I don't even know where to start. The hair? The shirt/blouse or whatever you may wanna call it? The shoes? The socks? I don't know. You tell me.

| Meet Emma Julika. My niece Emma Julika was born around 10:30pm German time on September 6th, 2007. I should have more pictures tomorrow, but this is the first one I got from my brother. He took it with his phone and it was very dark. But I figured it's better than no picture at all, right?
Update picture from this morning:

| I have no clue why I'm being such a slacker lately. Really, I have so much time during the day but I never update. I promise, I'll try to get better.
Last Wednesday my friend Carolin, who is an Au Pair in Florida, came to visit me. She stayed with my friend Jodi in Chicago for a couple of days and then came here. It was so good to see her. We had a great time. Wednesday night we met Ronald in Manhattan. We picked him up from work and went for a couple of Margaritas ($4!!!). Kami, you totally have to come visit me. He works for COACH now and gets like 40-50% off!!! Thursday we went to Manhattan again and hung out at Luna Park where we each had a Strawberry Daiquiri ($11!!!). Friday we drove to PA to stay with Allison for the night. It was fun! We drank a little and played Trouble and Guess who? Saturday we drove to Manhattan straight from PA to meet with Carolin's friend Katharina. We hung out in Central Park for most of the afternoon. I love it there. So relaxing. We went home for a couple of hours and then went back to Manhattan to go out with the nephew of Carolin's hostfamily who lives in Jersey City. He and his girlfriend were so nice. They took us to a birthday party at Naked Lunch and we went to another couple of bars after that. We didn't pay for anything! The guy paid for all our drinks, our parking and the cab back to his place ($50!!!). Ha. So that was cool.
Sunday we got up at about 10am (and we didn't get back the night before until 5am) and I took Carolin to the airport. She had to go back to Salt Lake City, where her hostfamily is on vacation right now. She called me later from Detroit where she had a layover and told me that her flight was canceled and she had to stay at a hotel for the night. That totally sucked, because she could have stayed with me for another night! But the worst part is, they put her on a flight from Detroit to Atlanta and form Atlanta to Salt Lake City. How retarded is that?

It was a great weekend, but way too short. Thursday night Saskia is coming in, she's also staying for a weekend. She's leaving on Monday and when I drop her off I'm picking up my friend Steph, who will be staying until Thursday. You see, there is never a dull moment...
Oh, also read my protected entry!
